Spam Squared

Regarding the discussion about the moral acceptibility of sending spam,
I'd like to report that this morning I discovered that some spammer has
been using one of my e-mail addresses,
[deleted by moderator]@mindspring.com, to
send spam. There were 8 e-mails that had been returned as
undeliverable. Since these ads were of the "add 3 inches to your
equipment" variety, I am sure that in my name many people have been
offended. I sent a note to Earthlink (Mindspring) asking what to do.

If a marketing method requires stealing someone else's identity, could
it be that there is something wrong with it?

P.S. Curiously, I have used that e-mail address only for selling some
art on eBay some months ago. And it was not, as far as I know,
accessible to a spider.
