Re: Business Cards and domain names
Following your questions Marisa, my personal opinion
is that your domain name has mainly an image impact,
and NOT a marketing/advertising effect.
Most of your web traffic is a result of clicking-links,
nobody
bothers to type domain names... Think of yourself --- when
was the last time you've typed a domain URL on your
browser?!
Unless you're a huge corporate or represent a renowned
brand, the chances that your targets will actually remember
your...link, are much lower/shorter then your Deg domain.
The only important impact a domain name has is on your
business image. It has to be relevant, it may deliver some
message or it may just imply for...intelligence.
Your "Deg" is short, yet completely useless (sorry). The
other option looks like a search result on Google. It may
be related to your field, yet a domain name should be part
of your business image, NOT part of your profile.
By the way, it doesn't matter if it's for groups, business
cards,
T-shirts or spam email. Go for a professional, effective and
relevant domain name that can impress your targets. Don't
expect it to create traffic, but do expect for some
professional
appreciation.
At least in this case, size really doesn't matter.
Thanks,
Eddie
