Alana,
The PPC ad system may be a great tool for some marketers,
yet I strongly believe that it's a devastating addictive
element for many others.
The idea of placing a few keywords and phrases on Google,
Overture, etc... and just sit back and count the cash that comes
in, is indeed such a wonderful fantasy that even the best xxx
sites would have very hard(core) times to create...
But even after you wake up (usually after your ad budget reaches
the floor), you're still a bit panicked to take off the magic words...and
you keep trying the other magic word --- optimization.
Well, I guess you've reached that phase now... after which you'll
realize that your field doesn't fit the PPC method. (a) Most of the
people don't look for a specialist to hurt-their-teeth-and-budget
on search engines, and (b) your real targets are extremely specific,
so that you'll have to go back and reconsider what to do with what
is left from your ad cash.
That's unless some PPC guru will convince you that they're a few
more keywords you haven't tried yet...
