Not long ago I setup an email server (IMAIL by ipswitch.com)
that has the ability to setup email alias's that can forward
email messages sent to it to email addresses, fax numbers,
beepers, or an .exe of your choice. This probably is not a
turnkey solution for everything you are trying to accomplish,
but may give you some ideas on how you might get the job done.
