Megan,
I can honestly say that this is a new one to me. I have included URL's
in my signature for at least the past 8 years. See below.
I have never heard of such a thing. I can't, for the life of me, even
think of how this could bring about legal ramifications. I send the
e-mail. My "signature" is part of that message. I don't believe this to
be a possibility.

As for Spam laws, go here: http://www.spamlaws.com. I wouldn't call it
the "ALL KNOWING AUTHORITY" but it is a great start.
