Hi Ryan,

Wow, what an idea. I would most definitely use it if it was to utilise your
first question. I work with one of my clients and utilise PPC, and one of
the most annoying things is that we seem to receive about 15-20% that only
stay for about 20 seconds. This % is after changing most of our ads to be
more specific. If we could discount the cost of those clicks life would be
so much better :-)

However, perhaps from your point of view you may want to consider charging
only half the click through price to advertisers for users that stay less
than 30 seconds. I say this because although we get around 15-20% leaving
the site after 20 seconds we have found that about 5% of them have just
wandered in and bookmarked us. So paying half the price benefits us all.

As for the costing. The PPC providers we use, google & overture, enable us
to bid for positions, google being the better one because you don't have to
be ranked in the top 2 to get a good ROI. This PPC goes down the more hits
you get. How about if the cost was to go up the more clicks you get?
Advertisers need not be scared of large advertising bills when they first
start, but as their business grows then so should their spend. I think this
would also make life a little more fair.

Hope these comments have helped a little.
