Building Traffic

Hello All,

We have just launched a new site and felt a few repercussions. You can take
a look at www.washingtontimes.com. I understand the immediate problem of
page weight, but this is an issue that is already in the process of being
resolved.

My question for the group is, does anyone have an idea on how to increase
page views? Our unique users have not fluctuated, yet their time on the
site has diminished. Also, are their any proven techniques to drive users
to new portions of a site such as a Market Place? One idea we had was to
run house ads describing to the user the new features of the site. Any
suggestions would helpful.
