Hey potential bloggers!
"What is a blog?"
Yahoo defines the blog as:
"A weblog is usually defined as a personal or
noncommercial web site that uses a dated log format
(usually with the most recent addition at the top of
the page) and contains links to other web sites along
with commentary about those sites. A weblog is updated
frequently and sometimes groups links by specific
subjects, such as politics, news, pop culture, or
computer issues."
Blogs are basically extremely easy ways to instantly
post your thoughts, ideas, links, and news to a "blog"
website without having to know programming language or
essentially, owning a url.
Bloggers make up a huge community on the Internet and
like regular web sites, blogs are also slowly rolling
into the business world.
BlogAds.com lives by its motto "You need to woo the
early adopters that traditional media can't reach.
Your budget is tight. You want to be remembered, not
remaindered. Start advertising where opinions are
made."
Early adopters.
Opinion leaders.
Sounds like we're opening the blog door as a NEO group
to target advertising to.
We may all be standing on the edge of a new horizon
for the Internet and marketing.
