This is true of course. Purely objective reporting can be hard to find
due to the nature of the affiliate program arena.
Here's another side to the story to consider as well.
First, the majority of "how to make money with affiliate programs"
products come with money back guarantees. It's pretty hard
to compete in that arena without a money back guarantee, so
these guarantees are widespread. This substantially reduces
the need for purely objective reviews.
Second, it's important to understand that a single sentence in
one of these books can be worth hundreds to thousands of dollars
to you if that sentence fills an important gap in your understanding
of the affiliate program business.
One of the most deadly mistakes any of us can wander in to
is assuming "I already know all that stuff". I say this from
personal experience! If I'm not making 10 grand a month
from a largely automated operation that funnels merchant
checks in to my mail box every month, then clearly I don't
"already know all that stuff" and reading everything I can
get my hands on is still a pretty good idea.
