Re: Emailers - Req tips to increase Response
Unfortunately, the courses we offer are all region specific--the
classes are either in NY, LA, SF, SD, and a few Canadian cities.
We do have a limited selection of online video and audio classes.
I am actually in the process of experimenting with doing live
webcasts of some of our courses. The idea here is that since
we have an existing and loyal user base in cities that could
not normally attend certain courses, these cutomers would
want to attent a webcast of a class not in their city. For example,
if we have a big name in NY, I could email the LA, SF and SD
lists and say something like: "So and so is appearing in NY
only, but this time, you don't have to miss him.."
I am very curious to see if the webcasting model can work for
this company--I think if it can work at all it could be more
successful than anyone here can imagine. Our first webcast
test is scheduled in September. We need to sell around 300
tickets to break even on the cost of the technology, however, I
think we can easilly hit that mark.
Anyone who would like to see a copy of the daily emails we
send out, go to www.learningannex.com and signup for an
account. There is no cost, and as soon as you choose to
opt-out you will stop getting the emails (no waiting time--it's
instantanious). Be sure to set your city as either NY, LA, SF,
or SD. We do not send daily emails to the other lists. I'd
recommend NY, because as it is our biggest and most
successful list, it is the email I spend the most time on.
Anyone who really does not want to signup for our mailing
list, let me know, and I can forward you a copy of yesterdays
mailings.
