Re: Site optimization suggestions
Hi Ronny,
I took a quick look at the source code for your main page.
Some suggestions...
Most importantly the page took about 20 seconds to open on my
high speed server which means it is probably much slower on 56K
dial up or older systems. Many visitors will not wait until the
page loads...
This is probably because it's graphic heavy - no more than 3
graphics per page is the norm in optimizing.
The biggest problem I can see is the amount of code contained in
the <Head> tag...
For a spidering search engine...it has to wade through all that
stuff before it gets to any visible text - definitely not the way
to get high rankings...
You should also remove all the doc public stuff at the top of the
page and the character set info is unnecessary...just adding more
junk for the spider to find it's way through.
Your style info should be put on a separate style sheet and
uploaded then linked to from your page not all included the way
you have it set up now.
The other thing you should really do is to decide what the main
keyword term(s) are for the page and stick to those ( max of 3 -
better to focus on just one single keyword phrase per page )
And that additional comment tag will be viewed as keyword
stuffing - I'd get rid of that too...many engines won't index
your page otherwise.
Best of luck with your new site - looks good btw...just watch
that you aren't sacrificing top rankings and traffic to a site
that looks great but no-one ever sees...very important if you are
on a limited advertising budget.
Hope that helps...
