Re: Performance of AdSense ads?
Eugene Kisly wrote in part:
"AdSense ads are all over the Web, even on a small, quite
unknown sites with no reputation."
"The question is: do you think it can affect performance of such
ads? "
Yes, this can drastically affect performance. Just for example, if your ad
is now on 1,000 additional unknown small sites and the "owner" or other
"friend" clicks on your ad even only once per week, you know have 4,000
valueless clicks per month. Even worse, the door is now open for
"unscrupulous" persons that do this type of thing on an elevated scale.
This reminds me of co-registration programs that put your listing on
thousands of websites. The results are pathetic.
You are doing the right thing by simply tracking and calculating ROI. Trust
your results. If it works, keep the ads turned on ... if it doesn't meet
your ROI, turn it off (don't think you are missing out on something you are
not ... spend the dollars elsewhere).
