Google, Overture -- is it legal?

There's a great debate of using competitor or industry big names to use for
your keywords in your advertising efforts. No, no? or still a gray area?

Being the devil's advocate, I can see how a big company will argue that you
can't use their trademark name. But on the other hand, they don't own that
keyword in Google or Overture. Google and Overture is just a marketing
system that allows people to buy advertising space.

So all o-a readers and specialists, have you used leading industry business
names in your keyword lists for your online marketing campaigns?
