Having been interested in partnerships for a rather long
time (as an alternative to venture capital), I can tell you
that "true" partnerships are tougher than marriage (and I
have had a fairly tough marriage and much love my wife.)
For me true partnership involved equitable sharing of sweat,
resources, expenses, profits, joint ventures.
Main problem is people don't understand partnering (being
exposed to affiliate programs, sales/distribution networks,
etc.) As a result it takes a lot of time, inefficiencies,
etc. for most people to partner for real. It has been my
goal for a long time to create an efficient process to
facilitate true business partnerships. I am hoping that I
am finally close to that goal.
There is just an awful lot to this topic. As it happens I
am working with VRCities to launch a business builders
center that will include a whole area dealing with
partnering (and teaming).

If you want to contact me off-list I would be happy to
provide some feedback for your situation.
