Resources on Search Term Analysis

Does anyone know of articles and other resources on how to conduct search
term analysis?

I am referring to onsite search, not search engines.

I have the log files created by the search engine. I have spent a few hours
mining the data in MS Access but think that there has to be an easier
way.... Is there?
