Not sure how helpful that will be for a novel though.
As to the SEM part...keyword research is still fr~e and there is
no need to submit to any of the engines as long as he could get a
link comng in from someone's site with releveant keywords in the
visible link text - they should pick up a site on their
own...particularly if he builds a site that offers good content
on that whole subject...and sort of soft sells the book...

general words like muslim - he should get some idea what words
people use to search in that subject area...
He could also use the fr~e trial at Wordtracker...

If there is a lack of money to market then taking the time to do
the work yourself is the only other option...
