Despite the fact that Rob seldom needs anyone to validate his assertions, I
have to concur completely with the premise of his post, especially his
summary conclusion.

Google is vulnerable for exactly the reasons Rob identifies.

However the reason I hear (in answer to the question of why they use Google)
in almost every instance, is "Google has consistently the most revevant
search results". Which no surprise is my answer as well.
