MSN and AOL are using this anti-spam climate to use tactics that will in
affect twart many legitimate advertisers
from reaching their users. But not only advertisers, as many deliver
paid reports to many and see the problems at MSN/AOL
in attempting to fulfill clients orders etc.
.Many of you will recall that back in the early days of AOL, they used
to more or less contsain their users on their portal, until they were
forced by public opinion and governemnt recommendation to allow their
users better access to the rest of the internet.
Now it seems, under the pretense of "protecting their users" they are
now employing a tactic which is an effort, in my humble opinion, to
limit access by others to their users.
Recently their new filters caused havoc with online delivery of text
files almost all being blocked and many times the user was not even
aware of an attempted delivery.
It makes one wonder. One thing both AOL/MSN have been able to learn and
do well is to be great"spin doctors" to coin a political phrase. All
these recents moves according to them are for the protection of their
users....hmmmmm.....
yes of course:-) any comments?
Wayne
