Kevin:
Here's what's included in our basic SEO package:
- Keyword analysis, including keyword popularity research, keyword
effectiveness index (KEI) analysis
- Ranking report and analysis for target keywords
- Competitive analysis for target keywords
- Inbound link analysis
- Site structural review & recommendations
- Optimization of up to five pages for 2-3 "keyword clusters" (groups of
phrases that use the same keywords, e.g., "pigs", "little pigs", "three
pigs", "three little pigs" make up one keyword cluster). Because of
keyword density requirements, a given page can usually only be optimized
for 2-3 keyword clusters.
- Development of description for use in directories (Open Directory,
Yahoo, etc.)
- Manual submission to top 10 search engines and directories with free
submission
- Paid inclusion of home page to Inktomi, FAST, and AskJeeves
(Additional charge for additional pages - only recommended for entry
pages with frequently-updated content)
- 15-day check-up and ranking report following implementation of
recommended changes
- 30-day check-up and ranking report following implementation of
recommended changes
Optional items:
- Additional pages
- Inbound link campaign
- Ongoing maintenance
- PPC management
As far as how we charge for those services, it's a flat fee, paid up
front. I've seen a lot of firms do a lot of different packages. What
we've found is that we don't get the desired results with anything less
than that minimum package. The optional items depend on the size of the
site, the competitiveness of the search terms, etc.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
