Strangely enough, searching on google for googelbot gives this link
http://www.google.com/bot.html

Googlebot is Google's... er... bot, robot, webcrawler, indexer, whatever
you want to call it. It's a good thing, it means google is indexing your
site. If you don't want it to do that then you need to exclude it using
the robots.txt protocol.
