Anyone think the California law will stand up in court? Considering that
it is impossible to know where someone is geographically based on an email
address, I can't see how it will hold up as constitutional since it places
an impossible burden - verify the state into which it is being sent - on
the sender to comply.

I haven't read the full law, but given that (as noted below) there is
already an alternate provision in the event the law is struck down, sounds
like the legislature doesn't even expect it to stand up to scrutiny.

Any thoughts?
