Re: How I handle spam and a new question: Dialog ads

1) Chromeless window ads
2) Subscribers bouncing emails back to you

In a previous message, Josh referred a
chromeless site to me. I have visited
and found that the chromeless windows
are basically pop-up windows with the
"fat" trimmed. As it is javascript
based, it can still be disabled by
pop-up stoppers.

I am looking for anyone who knows anyone
else who uses a special kind of pop-up
ad that cannot be disabled with pop-up
stoppers. I heard (from my friends) they
only work in Internet Explorer 4 and above
but they didn't bookmark the sites that
were using these amazing "can't stop" me
pop-up ads....which baffles me. How are
these ads unstoppable?

As for subscription management, I would
remind my subscribers to keep their box as
empty as possible for certain dates of the
month so that I can send them their
newsletters with lesser incidence of
getting bounced.

Alternatively, I can get all newsletters
archived in a part of my site that can be
accessed only by subscribers.

Just these ideas for now.

Regards
Chen
