I find the word "severe" to be extreme in describing the situation and "to
show on the top" to be inaccurate since what you describe is what's involved
to be listed period, regardless of positioning. To be shown on the top an
advertiser has to also be one of the top X bidders for the relevant
keywords, sometimes combined with good performance (bid price * clickthrough
rate is essentially the Google Adwords ranking mechanism).

I'm happy with it. The integrity and usefulness of the search engine
combined with the shear number of pages analyzed and listed requires less
subjectivity , bias and human intervention. The paid listings serve a
different purpose and having such requirements in place is appropriate and
necessary to maintain user trust and ultimately revenue.
What would you like to change and why?
