The selection of a web site stats software really depends upon some
factors:

What kind of web site traffic you are you looking at? 10, 100, 1000,
10000, 100000 or 1mil visitors/day?

What kind of information would you like to derive?

Are you caring about getting some information beyond clickthrough? For
instance, are you considering to segment your web site audience upon the
observed behavior?

What's your budget?

Depending on the answers to such questions you may adopt quite different
solutions...
