It is absolutely up to Google who they do or don't want to
index with whatever criteria they set as appropriate. It is
THEIR search engine after all -- isn't it?
Let the market for search results decide if Google's
algorithm modifications are a positive or negative
thing.
I, for one, have gotten real tired of wading through
list of affiliates linked as "relevant content,"
especially when many of those sites use Javascript
tricks to defeat the Google page you had opened
and strand your browser on their site.
End users may learn it is time to line up a different
method of advertising than chaining lists of affiliates.
Just my opinion.
