Hi,

Thanks for the link and article about the potential problems with the
legality of Google. I posted the following comment:

I was wondering when some of Google's practices would catch up with
them. At the end of November, Google had its Google dance dubbed
Florida. During this update many commercial web sites were dropped or
buried beneath thousands of directories or non-related search results.
The real estate industry has been especially hit hard. It has become
almost impossible to find realtor's or broker's websites. The site
scroogle.org showed that 80-90% of the top hundred real estate sites
were filtered for every "my city real estate" search phrase. These sites
usually are placed in these lofty positions because of their quality
content and recognition of their web excellent. Google suggests these
changes were do to improvements to reduce the amount of search engine
Spam. However, it is very difficult to believe that these top sites were
offending web etiquette. It also should be noted that smaller city or
town related real estate search results were not affected. These areas
would have less Adword revenue. Many other ebusinesses were affected by
the current Google update. The timing could not be worse because this is
Christmas season when the majority of online purchases are made. It
seems like an attempt by Google to increase is Adwords revenue. Since
Google effecting represents 70% of all Internet searches many eMerchants
will be forced to either advertise with Google or go out of business.

Sincerely,
Allan Pollett
