Using a media buying agency

Hi,

We are a leading Thailand travel agent (www.passionasia.com) that is
planning to have a very aggressive marketing plan for 2004.

Besides various PPC program we are also looking to advertise (text/banner
ads) in major portals to increase our traffic and to create awareness for
our brand.

What we have in mind is big portals such as MSN, Yahoo and big media like NY
Times and Washington Post.

Our target is leisure/family traveler from US and Europe's countries that
have plans to traveling to/around Asia.

We are just wondering whether is better to have an interactive media buyer
agency to put our brand on those big portals/media or is it possible to
contacting them directly?

Suggestions and recommendations on the interactive media buyer/planner is
most welcome.
