Where to Put an In-site Survey?

Our site is currently undergoing a much-needed redevelopment. One issue that
concerns us is where to put a survey that we would like visitors to answer.
We have decided that a pop-up or (without any incentives) a link to a survey
on its page are lousy ideas and are instead going with something embedded.
Also, we have been advised not to show the same survey on several pages. That
leaves us with the question of on which page is it most likely to be answered
and also succeed in getting visitors to stay longer without distracting them
from (ideally) paying for our services. Your thoughts, please?
