Re: Yahoo Blocking - was AOL Blocking
Well AOL spam blocking is one messy issue, but it looks like Yahoo blocking is
another tough one to figure out. Monday I sent a newsletter, and it went to
one of my Yahoo accounts' inboxes and the bulk mail folder of another
account.
I had already gone through Yahoo's support on this topic, and go things
setup. Here's what they had said:
"As a final step to the application process, Yahoo! will evaluate and
monitor your submission for a minimum of fourteen days to make sure that
your mailings are delivered to the appropriate Yahoo! Mail folder.
Please note that during this monitoring period, your mailings will go
through our SpamGuard technology, and it is probable that the delivery
of your mailings will oscillate between the Inbox and the Bulk Mail
folder. Once we have completed the monitoring process, we will contact
you for the final results of your application."
So I guess for now my mails are "oscillating" between the inbox and bulk mail
folder... Odd, but hopefully by next month's mailing they will all go to the
inbox. Anyway, just curious what others' experiences have been on this. Did
this happen for you and did they end up all going to the inbox?
By the way, on the AOL topic AOL told me I'm not on any of their block lists,
but my mail isn't getting to some of my users anyway. Presumably that's
because users can set different spam block settings, but I have a test user
who I don't think has these settings but still isn't getting the newsletter.
I know some users are though... This is a similar issue as Yahoo. Take care,
