For your business plan, I'd suggest considering the whole of the market for
your medium; figuring out who the companies are, that you will target in
your respective years of operation and anticipating from there the probable
revenue from your sales activity. The thing is, that your answer depends on
so many factors (like your other sources of revenue, whether you're a
horizontal or a vertical portal, your target audience, etc) that it doesn't
make much sense to look for an average. I think what matters most is the
amount of effort you will be putting into sales. This may be more important
than your pageviews. By estimating the output of your sales force, you'll
get a number that's more fair than some industry average. The people at
