William, You do have a good point about referrals, but you cant run an
entire business from them. They are easier sales, but to make serious
money, you still need cold calling skills. Again, were talling about a
"Local Market" . Hes still going to have to start somewhere. Maybe after 2
or 3 years, he could survive on referrals. But were talking about a low
budget start up here.

Not to get off topic, but to make decent money, you have to go out and
get it. Our ENTIRE business is run from Cold Calling, some referrals,
but 90% pounding the pavment.

In my opinion, running your business from Exclusive referrals, is the
differnce between being able to drive a 1976 Ford Pinto, or a Porsche. I'll
keep my Porsche.
