The Internet is a fantastic lead generation vehicle.
Co-reg, email marketing, banners, and search are all
viable options if done correctly. If not done
correctly, you'll get burned.
Your ROI can vary depending on what type of leads
you're looking. 2 dimensions to consider: 1. how
many data points you need for a quality lead 2. the
value of the leads relative cost of media in that that
vertical. Certain verticals can be very pricey (i.e.
Mortgage, debt) so the value per lead needs to be able
to match that.
For simple leads - i.e. name, address, email. All of
the above are good options. For leads that require
custom information, lead generation networks are a
good option as well. Some to consider:
Advertising.com, Affiliatefuel, and QuinStreet. As
with coreg, email, etc. if the lead vendor doesn't
closely manage your business or your backend
conversion you could have a poor ROI. So, do a lot of
research and choose wisely.
