Search Engine Submission/Positioning software
Does anyone have an opinion of search engine submission/positioning
software? I have been doing research and found that it is not a good idea
to use products like Web Position Gold. Basically creating "doorway" pages
and performing auto-queries could possibly get your IP and/or website
banned from Google and other search engines.
My conclusion is to just concentrate creating good content and letting the
search engines to the work. For example, I was planning to put past issues
of my newsletter online and other articles I have written. That way I'll
have more content to the search engines to grab. In addition I plan to
rename all my pages to be more descriptive.
Am I playing it too safe, or it there a better way to do this? I also found
companies willing to charge thousands to "optimize" your site. But, to me
it seems that with the way technology changes, what is optimized today is
at the bottom of the list tomorrow. Right now, I am very happy with
Pay-Per-Click traffic and plan to start an Overture account soon.
Thanks
Steve
