This is exactly why I canceled my Earthlink account. Let
me decide what is spam and what isn't. But it is a growing
problem, as I and others are finding out from out newsletters.
Even smaller companies are blocking everything from
bulk mailers. Email providers negotiate with AOL and others
to be "whitehatted," but obviously they can't do that with
every firm.

What's the solution? Perhaps it is blogs and RSS feeds,
but that requires active involvement and inhibits passalongs.
I've also thought about something like AdWords, where you
get contextual access/receipt of a newsletter during research.

It is frustrating.
