Software for discussion lists

Hi, I publish a marketing-related newsletter, called CPATipline (for
cost-per-acquisition) and am thinking about offering a free discussion list
service to subscribers as a way of sharing information about the CPA/pay for
performance industry, much as you do here for online advertising in general.
Would appreciate information on providers of discussion list software/tools
such as this one, and what to "watch for" when choosing a provider.
