Independent Film Ad-Campaign

Hello,

This is my second post in the list (the first was made in July 1997...
talking about "lookers").

I wonder if someone could help me put together a framework to
promote independent films through the Internet: sponsor based
ad-campaigns that combined with grassroots and viral-marketing
bring audiences to movie theaters at local markets.

My goal is to provide independent producers with tools and a
marketing campaign that they could introduce into their
negotiations with film-distributors so Internet Marketing is taken
into account along with other issues they usually discuss. This
framework would also work for major films at local markets abroad.

Thanks to the Internet, the world has become one-place for the
film industry. The time span has decreased to weeks for US and
global simultaneous release of films made by the major Hollywood
studios. Also, Internet based ad-campaigns have become more
relevant not only to the majors but also for independent film
producers. The Independent Film & Television Alliance, formerly
known as the American Film Marketing Association, is the trade
association for the independent film and television industry. Its
annual event known as The American Film Market has come to
play a major role as a focal point for the promotion of
independently-made films worldwide.

Best Regards,
