The google spider

Hello everyone,

I am currently in the progress of developing a new website, a dutch
auction website (which is quite irrelevant for the topic) . The thing
is, there are going to be lots and lots of pages on the site, and it
would greatly benefit from being indexed by google.

Now, I am not sure what Google's policies on spidering websites are -
some people tell me they online spider .html pages, other people tell me
that they online spider pages that don't have a query string
(index.php?foo=bar&wom=bat), and other people tell me that they 'detect'
wether the page is static or dynamic, and they only spider static pages.

Since I'm in the beginning of developing the site, I need to make this
very critical decision on how to make the page structure. Is anyone able
to tell me what to do to make sure google spiders my pages ?
