check out digitalpoint.com
They have a bunch of great free tools, for tracking
your rank in google for your selected keywords. Its an
excellent starting point for a SEO newbie. Seochat.com
is also useful for its forums and articles.

The forums also list at least 25 FREE directories that
you can post your website on, so you dont have to
spend the $300/yr to have your site listed in the
Yahoo Directory.
