Optimizing Dynamic Site

Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker but I wanted to do what I can to keep this list more
active so here goes...

I currently manage B2C site that generates majority of pages
dynamically. The site has over 300,000+ products for sale.

The site runs on Linux as OS, Intechange as content management server,
application server, etc, and MySQL as the back-end database. Has any
one optimize a site for this type of environement such as rewriting
URL to be SEO friendly? There was recent case study by
MarketingExperiment, I belive, that touched on dynamic pages and on
apache but I have not been able to find any information on optimizing
for Interchange so far. I am gathering as much information as I
possibly can so that I can have my developers implement changes to our
site in phases.

Any sites that have specific information for this type of an environment?
