Re: Optimizing Dynamic Site
It's a rather easy trick with apache, you'll find several methods of
implementing here.
www.google.com/search?q=search+friendly+urls
Of course all the major SE's will index query strings (part of url
following a ?), but there's an advantage to making "friendly urls"
I don't think keyword stuffing your URLs will help much. Plus you end up
with long URLs that break in text emails. For example
www.example.com/lots-of-information-about-online-advertising
Instead create "people friendly" urls and content (people friendly is
usually SE freindly).
For example www.example.com/advertising instead of
www.example.com/index.php?category=advertising - the first is easier to
"say" "remember" and "type"
For further optimization, try optimizing the structure of your page. For
example, proper markup of headings and sub headings and other elements.
Lighter pages (smaller filesize) (use CSS). Again, this is people
friendly, smaller filesize = faster loading. With CSS you can place your
"content section" above your "navigation/menu section" in the html. There
*may* be some benefit to SE's because your content is "higher" on the page.
