OK - I've been trounced by my own semantics.
Time to clarify -
Those of us on this list are one or more of the following:
Website developer
Consultant
Content manager
Publisher
Advertiser
Etc., etc., etc.
And most likely a combination of the above.
As such, we know more, pay more, watch more
carefully and surf in a highly educated way.
"Nobody surfs like you do" was meant to mean that
(unless your website is *for* web developers) the
vast majority out there don't surf as swiftly or as
surely as we do. They don't read the URL's as
navigational clues. They don't open pages in a new
window. They don't even type URLs in the Address
line - they type it into the Yahoo search field instead!
As a result, measuring what people actually do is
critically important.
