Internet, telephone book ad pages and market share

Hello,

How many of you agree that Internet marketing has undergone a fundamental
shift just in the last 12-15 months.

I believe such a shift has occurred because of the proliferation of web
sites and pages combined with a significant decline in the effectiveness of
email communications.

At this point I believe that the commercial Internet has pretty much become
more like a gigantic book of "telephone yellow page ads."

Capturing market share has become a very different challenge from what it
was not that long ago.

I am interested in your thoughts and opinions.

For full disclosure, I should tell you that I am writing an ebook on this
topic.
