I couldn't agree with you more. There is much more to SEM than getting
links.


"PageRank is irrelevant. What is more important is where your site appears
in the search engines."

It may be irrelevant in some other search engines and, of course,
directories, but it's still relevant at Google. (Which is #1 at the moment)
PageRank is a good indicator of how your site stacks up with Google. How
many PR 0, 1 or 2 sites have you seen in the top spot for competitive
phrases?
