Putting together business plan for putting ads in our e-newsletters

I'm now at the point where I need to put together a business plan for
putting ads in our e-newsletters. I really need to talk to somone who is
experienced in this kind of advertising (as opposed to advertising on web
pages).

1. We'd like to start with something very discrete, like a "sponsored by"
link at the top of each issue.

2. I need help in coming up with a rate card considering that we have a
cleaned-weekly email list of 225,000 science educators, administrators,
principals, consultants, etc.

3. I need to know if advertisers are going to expect that views and
click-throughs be tracked by an independent third party. We've found that by
putting a link to a web page in our e-newsletter, we can overwhelm the
unsuspecting webserver -- so we know that people are reading and clicking on
our links.
