I guess it's true that it takes all kinds. I have my mail set to
kill incoming HTML newsletters, because they hog bandwidth, even on
big pipes - plus they're usually unsolicited.

Add to that the fact that very few HTML e-mails really require the
stuff they send along, the consensus among my peers is that HTML is
almost always junk.

For people interested in cutting to the chase, ASCII with links is
the way to go. I should mention that I don't read e-mail in a
browser, I use a mail app (Eudora). If I want to surf the web, I'll
use Safari for that....
