Be very careful when choosing a company that "rents" lists. First always
know that if you receive the list of email addresses and you are able to
use your own software to send to the list - this list is NOT reputable.
Any reputable company will never allow the list to be shared with a
company. They will only allow you to provide your message to them and
they will send the message on your behalf to their list.
Always ensure that the collection of their list is through double-optin
procedures. Ask to see how and on what sites they are collecting their
email addresses. Ask for references.

Your best bet is to start and collect your own double-optin subscribers
from your site.
