As I understand it, the best thing about RSS technology is that you, the user,
have to request the feed from the supplier. The supplier is suppose to supply
relevant content to what you want. If he clutters the info up with ads, you
can just remove him. After all, you are initiating the feed, and you can
terminate it any time if you no longer find the feed relevant.

The other opportunity for pushing ads is via the feed-reader provider
software. Most all are currently free. If the reader supplier decides to put
advertising in his reader software, you can always go look for another
reader. I am sure there will always be free one w/o advertising.
