Hi Phil

I have no personal experience of using PR Newswire but would suggest that if
the PR angle is important - and if you've really got a compelling story -
then you should approach the most important media owners directly.

Identify half a dozen or so media titles that are particularly influencial
and phone them up - go through to the editorial department, get talking to
one of the editors or writers and ask *them* when the best time would be to
submit the story. They may be able to give you some insight into any other
planned content that's relevant to you - special reports, features etc. -
and suggest timing to coincide.

(Get the timing right though - don't call just before an editorial meeting,
or just before looming deadlines. Whoever answers the call will guide you.)

In any event, at least once you've spoken to someone you'll have a named
contact to send the release too. It all helps to get the story published.

PR success is about good relationships with the media - so get on the phone
and start building those relationships!
