Marketing to Sites with Employee Photos

Happy Holidays,

This company has been looking into offering a new service, help with website
biographical photos (like those you see in an About Us section).

To gauge potential interest, we've looked at websites of people who post here.
Not many sites have pictures, but those that do tend to have problems.

For men, fit is an issue, and people are not doing a good job of dressing (and
grooming) for a job interview, which is what presenting yourself (and your
business) is like. Not to belabor the point, since this isn't the place and
our website has its own article about interviews, but black suits are for
evening wear and funerals and generally haircuts should be conservative and
facial hair absent. Dress to clients' expectations, if there is good reason to
show what you look like (for instance, you'll be meeting with clients in person
or the website is named after yourself). The conventional wisdom is that
pictures build trust, but if you cannot present yourself well, don't display
pictures.

However, giving advice is not the goal of this email. It's more to get feedback
as to whether need equals interest in a low-cost service and how to target the
businesses that use biographical pictures. For example, is there a portal site
that hosts guest articles aimed at how smaller businesses present themselves
online?
