If your CMS uses frames, past the AdSense code into the frame which contains
the major content of the page. One of my sites was served rather generic ads
with low pay-per-click and low click-through
rates until I made this change. After the change, AdSense earnings soared.
Read Google's AdSense help regarding frames, if you require more details.

I don't see any problems when using a CMS to serve AdSense
advertisements - if there are, Google sure needs to fix them since then
the problem is clearly on their side...
